    Abstract

    The Asian Grain Legumes Network consists of scientists, administrators, and institutions linked together because of their willingness to collaborate on research on chickpea, pigeonpea, and groundnut in Asia. The Coordination Unit (CU) for the network and the research backup is provided by ICRISAT. To provide answers to specific regional problems, the AGLN has constituted a series of working groups (WG) which bring together experts who pool their knowledge and resources to collaborate in providing answers to the group's mandated problem as quickly as possible. The objectives of the Botrytis Gray Mold (BGM) of Chickpea Working Group Meeting are: • bringing together researchers from the national programs involved in BGM, to review their research findings and to coordinate future research; • determining the seriousness and extent of BGM incidence on chickpea in Asia; • compiling the existing information on BGM of chickpea; • identifying gaps in our knowledge on BGM of chickpea; • proposing priorities for the various modules of this research; • identifying resources and expertise available within and outside this group for conducting priority research; • assigning research modules to individuals
