Abstract

A total of 116 progenies, each having at least one parent resistant to sterility mosaic and giving higher yields than controls in the field, were tested for resistance using the spreader-row technique developed at ICRISAT. Fifteen resistant, early-maturing lines with promising yields were identified. Of these, one was resistant to Phytophthora sp. and tolerant of Fusarium udum and two others were tolerant of F. udum
