Abstract

Information on current progress in refinment of screening techniques, idendification of resistant germplasm and breeding lines, and crop loss assessment due to striga attack is presented. A new lab-cum post steel mesh roll technique which premits interaction of stimniants with soil was developed and found effective in differentiating the low-from high stimiant producing sorghum lines
