    Abstract

    The International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) is pleased to publish this bulletin as a service to scientists, students and agriculturists concerned with the improvement of cereals and farming systems throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America. The genetic improvement of pearl millet is one of ICRISAT's major projects and — along several other millets - figures prominently in our research program on farming systems.
