Abstract
Research priority setting, monitoring and evaluation (PME) have recently been introduced as research management tools to efficiently allocate scarce research resources to alternative choices. With squeezing agricultural research resources, research managers explore procedures to allocate available resources to meet the unprecedented challenges of increasing demand for additional food, and ever rising degradation of natural resources.
