Abstract
Derived by pedigree selection from the cross ICSV197 × A6250, this dual-purpose, midseason maturing cultivar gave grain yields higher than those of the controls (CSV11 and CSH11) in preliminary trials during 1987 and 1988, particularly under midge (Contarinia sorghicola) infestation. It showed high levels of resistance to midge across various locations and seasons, and was also resistant to a number of fungal diseases.
