    Farmer-partiCipatory approach in agricultural research and development is gaining increas'ing popularity among researchers, policy makers and develqpment investors. Besides complementing on-station research, it provides an alternate channel to researchers to allow them to reach farmers qUickly with greater acceptance of technological innovations among the farming communities.
