Abstract
In this paper brief mention will be made of a storage pest problem that has received attention at ICRISAT, and of a socio-economic investigation of the impact of machine threshing of cereals in an Indian SAT village. Most of the paper will be devoted to research at ICRISAT on the problem of aflatoxin contamination of groundnuts, a very serious problem in all parts of the world there the crop is grown, and one which has important post harvest and storage components.
