Abstract
The book presents information on economically important diseases of pearl millet which are transmitted by seeds. It contains six chapters. The first chapter deals with the crop, its cultivation, distribution and production. Other chapters describe the three important diseases of pearl millet: downy mildew, ergot and smut, followed by a chapter with descriptions of minor diseases. The last chapter deals with production of disease-free seed and includes recom-mendations on steps to be taken to prevent the role of primary and secondary inocula.
