Abstract

Inoculum was prepared on autoclaved kabuli chickpea seeds, using a Delhi isolate of the pathogen. High disease ratings (8 on a 1-9 scale) were obtained on seedlings of the susceptible cv. Pb 7 with 10- and 15-d-old inoculum. Disease severity declined with age of inoculum and was only 3.3 when 60-d-old inoculum was used.
