Abstract

Chickpea (Cicer arietinum) cv. L 551, derived from the cross ICCC 32 × ICCX 780581-BH-10H-BH, was released in 1999 for cultivation throughout Punjab state, except humid areas. It has high yield potential, resistance to wilt, moderate resistance to Ascochyta blight, and good culinary and nutritional quality.
