Abstract

Groundnut rosette is a major constraint to Arachis hypogaea production in sub-Saharan African and its offshore islands. Transmitted by aphids (Aphis craccivora), it is caused by a complex of 3 agents: groundnut rosette assistor virus (GRAV), groundnut rosette virus (GRV) and satellite RNA of GRV. This article describes the agronomic attributes and performance of two short-duration, rosette resistant germplasm lines ICG 12988 and ICG 12991 which were collected from farmers' fields in Madhya Pradesh, India.
