Abstract
In field surveys carried out in 1999 collar rot (Aspergillus niger), stem rot (Sclerotium rolfsii [Corticium rolfsii]), bud necrosis disease (groundnut bud necrosis virus), early leaf spot (Cercospora arachidicola) [Mycosphaerella arachidis], late leaf spot (Phaeoisariopsis personata) and rust (Puccinia arachidis) were detected on groundnuts in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, India.
