Abstract
In the course of an expedition to 9 districts in western Bangladesh during March-April 1985, organized jointly by ICRISAT and the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute, 295 samples of crop plants, including 134 of chickpea, were collected. The majority were desi types, showing a range in 100-seed weight of 8.6-14.1 g. The samples were shared between the 2 institutes.
