Abstract

The non-nodulating mutant ICC435M was crossed with its nodulating parent ICC435 and a second non-nodulating mutant, PM233. The parents and F1 were inoculated with the Rhizobium strain IC59 and scored for nodulation. The non-nodulation trait of ICC435M was recessive and caused by a different gene or genes from those in PM233.
