    Abstract

    Brief descriptions are given of these pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum) parental lines, with ICMB89111 (PI599191) being the maintainer line of ICMA89111 (PI599192). ICMB89111 was developed by crossing 843B (BKM2068) with a high-tillering inbred line resistant to downy mildew (Sclerospora graminicola) derived from a cross between a Gero New Strain and an S3 progeny from Saria Synthetic, both from western Africa.The male-sterile line, ICMA89111, derives its A1 cytoplasm from ICMA1.
