Abstract

Microscopic examination revealed differences in the conidia of P. personata [Mycosphaerella berkeleyi] which developed on groundnut plants stored at different RH. After 24 h, mean conidial length ranged from 84 µm at 100% RH to 38 µm at 96% RH. At 100% RH, there were >10 septa compared with 2-3 at 96% RH. There were significant differences in both mean conidial length and number of septa between all RH treatments. Another significant increase occurred in conidial length after 48 h exposure to 100% RH.
