Abstract

Soil dehydrogenase activity (DHA), a key indicator of microbial oxidative processes and soil health, is commonly measured by the TTC method, where triphenyl tetrazolium chloride is reduced to triphenyl formazan and quantified spectrophotometrically. DHA measurement provides valuable insights into microbial oxidative metabolism and soil biological functioning.
